Fast Media will attend the Cepic conference 2022 in Mallorca. The conference takes place from the 25th to the 27th of May.
At Cepic, professionals from the content licensing industry meet to network, learn and do business. it will be attended by about 500 people from 250 agencies. There will be seminars, social events and an area where both creators of content meet wit potential distribution partners to extend their markets.
It’s been a while since the event was held due to Covid restrictions and this is why we are going. We will talk to our industry friends to about their experiences in the last few years, hope to find out more about the latest developments and opportunities, keep an eye on innovation and, finally, see if there are any synergies for the future with any of the companies attending.
Our creative toolkit keeps on growing in 2022 and Cepic provides a good way to meet everyone in one place in a concentrated time frame.
Here’s a bit more about Cepic and its goals:
As the Center of the Picture Industry, CEPIC federates 400 picture agencies and photo libraries in 20 countries across Europe, both within and outside the European Union. It has affiliates in North America and Asia. CEPIC’s membership includes large and smaller stock photo libraries, major photo news agencies, art galleries and museums, video companies. CEPIC has among its members the big global players – such as Getty, Shutterstock or Reuters. Through this membership, CEPIC represents more than 250.000 authors in direct licensing. The annual CEPIC Congress extends CEPIC’s network on all five continents. It is the largest global gathering of the international photo community representing 90% of the market worldwide.
Current issues: EU copyright harmonization and reform on the Digital Single Market, competition online, image search engines and the closing of the “framing loophole”, reform of collective rights management, respect of metadata, standardisation of image works identifiers.
We’ll try and make some pictures of the event to give an insight in what is going on in the content licensing industry so do come back for more news
